Life as I know it.

Hello my friends.
I'm not writing for any reason in particular...I'm just...writing.
So hi!
My projects are failing. I finished the dress this week! But that still leaves me with Invitations, calvin & hobbes pillows, and altering a dress for easter....so yeah.
But I love life regardless. The sun has been shining.
I stayed up forever the other night watching some movies with the Marx brothers. They are very funny. Sometime you should watch one.
Well. I am going to get off this contraption called "computer" and go do something useful with my time for the next hour...and then sleep.

Hm. Tomorrow, I think I'm going to put my hair up in pigtails.
Goodnight.

I do not attempt to follow the paths on which my mind wanders....

Today was a glorious day, and it's not over yet.

As I'm getting older, I've learned that it doesn't matter what people think of you. So as we're around the Chatt State campus, my friends Julie and Sara and I begin jumping in puddles and squealing like little girls. Later today I was at the Schreiner's house. While Mrs. Schreiner went to pick up the cousins, Sara (sort of), Andrew and I held a rocking dance party in their living room.

I got home and just smiled to myself. God has blessed me with a wonderful life.

So yeah. I had a great day! I only blogged to get some of that happy feeling out and share it with you!

All I want is your eyes.

Bowerbirds "Northern Lights" from matt amato on Vimeo.

So the Bowerbirds make my heart soar.

I am face with a strange dilemma these days. Life is so exciting. But it's not because anything special is going on. It's because I'm in love with God. It's because it's sunshiny outside. It's because I'm almost done with school. It's because drawing is going so well. It's because I just practiced for an hour and a half. It's because I'm getting a wonderful camera soon. It's because I have ideas floating around my head. It's because I'm planning a party. It's because I've begun to write a story. It's because I have letters to write to people. It's because I'm reading wonderful books. It's because it's Spring and Nature's woken up from its nap.

So that's why, if you see me any time soon, I'll probably be dancing down the street with a contented smile on my face.
I hope your week shapes up to be as splendid as mine is.

Feed Me Woman!

I have been slacking HORRIBLY in my projects. I'm aware of this. This was my project for last week. The shoe in the center is the finished product. This week I'm trying to finish that dress, finish some calvin & hobbes pillows for Micah's dorm room, AND make my invitations for my Un-birthday party. SHEW

A couple weeks ago I had Jen over and we made a poster! hahaha It was too much fun.

I must go and prepare for a night of dance.

A letter

Dear Heart,
You are so trusting. Do not be unwise.
Do not fall prey to this world's ideals.
For you are prized and cherished.
Oh Dear Heart,
You are so large.
Love everything and everyone with Christ's love, but do not love too deep.
Dear Heart,
You are so careless! Do not let people who do not deserve to be there make a lodging in your innermost corners and crevices.
Oh My Dear Heart,
You are so young!
Do not deceive yourself into love. You are not meant to love in that way as of yet.
Finally, Dear Heart,
You are so impatient. Wait. For the love that waits is true and strong.
Sincerely,
Brain.

I looked out my window today, and do you know what I saw?
Hm. Let me tell you.

I saw a boy, no more than twenty.
He was all dressed in white and a faint shade of blue.
He stared at the sunshine about him, for there was plenty.
And he looked at the sky, pondering what to do.

Then a girl, a pretty girl glided into my back yard.
She smiled at the boy and blushed to her toes.
She said something witty to him that made him laugh hard.
He turned pink all over, even his nose.

He commented on her dress,
Which was pink and yellow.
He told her about her loveliness,
All the while thinking, I'm a lucky fellow.

They spoke for a while,
Until it was time for them to part.
Before the boy left he smiled,
And told the girl she'd always have his heart.

I heard November Rain

I love this jacket, despite it's grandma appearance. The grey sweaterdress is definitely a new favorite as well. You have to love thrift stores!
My new leather purse deserves a post of its own. I love it so much.

I am not posting for any reason except...I'm on spring break this week!
The problem with being homeschooled is not of your spring breaks line up. Although I don't have Chatt State, I still have school at home and ballet. BUT STILL

I have a week to gather my thoughts and re-focus. I need to gain serious motivation as well. For the past week, I've been very very very apathetic about things. Basically, my laziness is killing me. I'm too lazy to eat, too lazy to practice, too lazy to study, too lazy to hang out with friends, or even too lazy to pray!
I've just breathed and things like that. But I haven't lived. SO spring break will be a time for me to do some spring cleaning in my room (because it needs it) and get creatively re-charged by spending some time in the Bible. I can't wait!

Oh, title...It's from the song On the Radio by Regina Spektor. I sang it tonight in a talent show! Some dear friends played instruments with me and they did so well!

I had a great weekend that was full of fun as well as work...but now I'm so glad it's over. I can truly begin to relax a little.

Read this please.
Think about it.
Live it.

When I survey the wondrous cross
On which the Prince of Glory died,
My richest gain I count but loss,
And pour contempt on all my pride.

Forbid it, Lord that I should boast
Save in the death of Christ my God!
All the vain things that charm me most,
I sacrifice them to His blood.

See from His head, His hands, His feet,
Sorrow and love flow mingled down!
Did ever such love and sorrow meet,
Or thorns compose so rich a crown?

Were the whole realm of nature mine,
That were a present far too small;
Love so amazing, so divine,
Demands my soul, my life, my all!

My toes are freezing

My finished journal. Snazzy eh?

My family and I have always been big fans of Hockey. In fact, I've see the Stanley Cup. So you can only expect that the USA vs. Canada was a big deal.

My sister and I donned War Paint.

A french Canadian. HAW HAW

I didn't mind that the Canadians won. I quite like the team. Especially Sidney Crosby.

Project # 9: to make a dress. Wish me luck.

Since it is not February anymore, I am done posting Winston Churchill quotes. *sad I know*

I will now include Dr. Seuss quotes in all of my posts in March!

Happy Birthday Doctor Seuss!
“I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, It's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, And that enables you to laugh at life's realities.”

I must go get some socks!

No Blue Mondays

I definitely had a blue Monday. I should've worn my Sunday Clothes =)

Jamie and I had too much fun dressing up and doing this photo-shoot.

Project for this week: Undecided.

Today was Casimir Pulaski Day! If you love Sufjan Stevens then you know the significance of this. Tomorrow is Dr. Seuss's birthday! I definitely plan on dressing up for the occasion.
