Being active from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm is fun...

So, this morning I went biking with some indescribably adorable people. I love them oh so very much. We biked and laughed and chunked rocks into the river. =) Afterwards I did ballet for an hour, which was so fun! I wore a romper today, you can't tell from my pictures...But when I walked into ballet, my friend who just came home from france said I looked very French. Hooray!!! Then I played tennis...ugh I'm exhausted. But it was a beautiful day to be outside and active. I loved today, and I love these people!

I'm colorful again! I sewed all day today...blahh I'm starting to get sick of this. Oh well... Today was absolutely boring, but that's okay. It's summer, so it's NICE when it's boring. I'm sleepy and hungry so I must go get a snack and go to bed. Have a glorious Monday!

Earth tones.

I committed a major faux pas today. I wore black with brown! *gasp* I also tried to pull of this headband thing...I'm still not completely sold on it. Oh well.

Andrew Bird shirt! =D

Okay, my earth tone craze is over. I have this urge to wear bright colors again! So I am. But, I must say, I really appreciate what earth tones do for your skin and such if you wear the right shade of brown. My life has been very good. Yesterday I watched "Confessions of a Shopaholic" (AGAIN!) and I was reminded that I'M a shopaholic. Seriously, every "symptom" she described I could relate to. Well, have a good Sunday! And try to stay out of the heat...

good friends

These are my goofy friends who, though older than me, make me feel like I'm five years old. In such a good way. I love them very much.

I LOVE EARTH TONES! It's addicting, I can't stop. For a whole week I've been wearing earth tones. Weird, huh?

I have lots and lots of sewing to do for this 1860's camp. So I must go, have a wonderful day!

1st Timothy 4:12

I've been really motivated lately! I love it too. Though my summer hasn't been the FUNNEST every, it's been ...important. I think. Haha Anyway, on Sunday, my pastor preached a sermon about the verse used as a title. It's fantastic. "Let no one look down on you because you are young.." I love that verse. I think we, as young people, always think about changing the world in someway. But we think of it as something in the future. Thoughts like When I'm 18, I'll do something great. Or When I am out of college, THAT'S when I can serve God. But that's a myth that needs to be dispelled. Young people are expected to be selfish, dumb, and materialistic.

It's time to break out of the mold.

While, I am fully aware I'm not going to wake up tomorrow and solve hunger in Africa, with babysteps, I and my cohorts can make a small change in the world that matters. I'm really excited about what the rest of the summer and the year are going to bring. And I'm so ready for the challenges.

As a result of all this motivation, I'm starting a little study group for the girls at our church (since we currently have nothing). I hope God does big things, or even small things, through us, and that we glorify Him with our thoughts and actions during the time we have.

My Hero

This is dedicated to my Dad, Dan Vatt.

Fathers are extraordinary things. They teach you lessons, give you an example to follow. They aren't perfect, but they love you more than anything. Fathers are every day heroes that emit an overwhelming amount of selflessness. They go to work everyday to keep a roof over your head, and (as if that's not enough) they put up with your friends, take you shopping, and encourage you to follow your dreams. Father's are a strong support for a weak child to rely on. Think about your dad, isn't he a rock? My dad is the funnest person I know. I think he's hilarious (though many don't...) and his "great" sense of humor's rubbed off on me. =) I love you dad! I hope you have a great Father's day!
