I took some annoying allergy medicine today. It made me sleepy and irritable. I'm hoping tomorrow's better. Oh, also, while driving home, I almost hit a tree. Yay! I'm off to go sleep...and dream about the summer days to come.

I've been wishing on lots of dandelions lately, especially since my yard is full of them.

James Yuill-my new favorite music. He's so good. He's classified as electronica folk...I think. Weird but amazing. Sunday was a good day. I got to catch up with an old friend who just graduated from college! Slowly, but surely, we're all growing up! *gasp* I need a summer job...bad...

That is the famous opening of A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. My mom has made me read a lot of good books in my lifetime, but I really appreciated her making me read this one. The whole message of this book is Redemption. The heroine's father is "Recalled to Life" and the unsuspected hero gives purpose to his life by sacrificing it. The recurring thought in this broken man's mind is "Am am the Resurrection and the Life, saidth the Lord: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die." The man faces death fearlessly, knowing that, though his life was sinful and broken, though he wallowed in his current status and could never raise himself to anything better, he would LIVE in Christ. I love that so much. I would recommend this to EVERYONE to read. It's quite a page-turner. I couldn't put it down until the wee hours of the morning for three nights in a row. The ending isn't completely happy, but it's completely uplifting and inspiring-closing with this statement (the man talking about his sacrifice)- "It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to that I have EVER known." *sigh* what a gooood book!

Yesterday my dad and I went to a garden and art show. We bought two tomatoe plants, a bell pepper, banana pepper, some pretty flowers, and these plants called cobwebs that are really cool. My dad picked out a neat tree I had never seen before. It's called a smoke tree, it has pretty red/purple leaves and when it blooms white flowers come out of the top like smoke! A nice old lady gave me a jade plant too.

When we got home I planted them! I can't wait for the flowers and cobwebs to spread all over out rock wall and for the tomatoes to come. They are one of my favorite fruits

The picture is of a cobweb not the kind I planted but an actual one from a spider. What is the difference between a spiderweb and a cobweb?
