My mind is in a twisted jumbled mess. Because of that, I have a raging headache. Ouch. Happy May Day
Anyway, if you don't know me, this won't make any sense. If you do know me...it won't make sense to you either. This is basically a spill of my thoughts. So buckle your seatbelts and get ready.
first,
Yesterday, I laid...layed? whatever I sprawled out in the sunshine for a mere fifteen minutes on my porch. I just soaked up the sunshine and my heart smiled. God really has blessed me with so many things in my life. He has given me such peace with the world lately.Finals are here, I'm taking the SAT tomorrow, and I'm playing weddings and things all throughout May. Those are things that I would generally be stressing over. But no, I'm fine! So thanks, God. You are truly mighty and you care ever so much for your people.
second,
While listening to Jonsi (if you have not checked him out, scroll down and listen to his link on my page. OR if you really want a visual treat go to the jonsi website and watch the video entitled "go do" eek. it's good stuff) and Sea Wolf and Zachery James Dodds etc. yesterday, I was struck with such a violent fit of inspiration it wasn't even funny. Well maybe a little bit. But that's beside the point. So not only have I been blessed with peace, I have been blessed with so much inspiration for photos, collages, paintings, etc. that I will have something creative to do for the rest of the summer.
third,
I have a little playhouse in my backyard. It was functional for .2 years. probably. I mean that's how little we've used it. BUT my mom and I were talking about it, and she said I could turn it into my studio! It doesn't have heat or air conditioning...which stinks, but I can still use it 3/4's of the year. So yeah, I'm blessed with a space to work on all of my creativ things. AH God you are so good.
I once told Micah that I thrive on threes. It's true. So I'm going to stop there.
Hm technically this could have been entitled "three things from the chatt state library", because that is where I am...but I'm to lazy to go back and change it.
Have a sunshiny Friday!

Three Things from the Chatt State Library
Well more than three, I lied.
Projects list-expect it tomorrow, and Mrs. Mindy, I have not finished the pillow yet. *blush* (I'm hanging my head in shame) I'm pretty sure Micah is going to get that sometime in the summer...oh well.
Okay on to the things:
1) I'm in such a folk music phase it's not even funny. Seriously. Not funny.
2) I'm wearing a Courtney Marie Andrews T-shirt! If you don't know who that is, look her up and listen to Oh the Blue or It's okay I understand. Those are my favorites.
3) I'm wearing a cozy sweater and rainboots. There's nothing like that warm, dry feeling when it's chilly and wet.
*bonus* I found a tripod in my house, it might just work for my camera. So yeah, solo picture adventures may commence asap (act swiftly awesome pachyderm)
And one last thing.
I've been hankering to go to Arizona. I went there November of 08. But I feel like it's home. ASU is the one college that I would be tempted to move far far away for.
Okay. Have a great day. Keep it sunshiny even thought it's grey outside.
Well that was cheesy.

Please don't be a player hater
If you dig her recent work then you should go congratulate her.
Freelance Whales.
I was told to look them up by a barista at Starbucks. Mmm good choice.
So yeah. I FINALLY did it. I bought the camera of my dreams. haha Well as close as I could get to it. Now nothing is stopping me from concept shoots and whatnot.
Project update: Believe it or not, I am on track. My project for this week is repairing/reconstructing some pieces of clothing that I've had for a while...but haven't been able to do anything with. In another post this week, I'll do a really awesome checklist that will help me and bore you. YAY!
This past weekend was a wonderful one. Jen spent the whole weekend with me. needless to say, it was boss.
Anywho.
Have a great week.

curly top.
Right now, you cannot see my head.BUT if you could, you would see some curly hair sticking out from under a hat. and if I took off that hat. Boy oh boy. You'd see an absolutely Annie-like fro.
Prom is this Friday, and since my hair is shaggy and BADLY in need of a trim, I decided to curl it. So I tested it out. And after it relaxes...which takes...a while, it looks quite nice. So we'll see.
ANYWHO
I am in the Chatt state library again today because my dad and I have started to ride to school/work together in the mornings. I quite like being up before the sun is.
I happen to have my journal, and I found something to share. I'm not quite sure if I want to develop it as a story or leave it as a short snippet of poetryishness. What do you think?
Sometimes she would pull out the sweet letters of the months and years gone by.
All the while thinking, This is our love
Every note felt like a specter from the past.
They reminded her of a happiness she had not felt since he had left this world.
Ghosts of things that had been crowded into the small bedroom.
Two cold tears fell from her eyes-"Calm, wondrous eyes" as described in one letter.
They rolled down her cheeks.
One was caught in a crease on her face-a crease made from countless smiles and frequent laughter.
The other tear slid over her lips-lips that once held a welcoming, friendly grin, but now were continually pursed in thoughtfulness.
The clouds rolled into the sky as she stared out her foggy window,
And a soft pulse was created by the falling rain.
Do you like it? I'm not quite sure how I feel about it...
Have a nice, sunny Thursday!

Oh, three things from Chatt state:
1)yesterday I had a lovely time at Starbucks with two friends. One new, one old.
2)I'm seriously considering getting a perm.
3) If I don't get a perm, I'm going to cut my hair like this

Asher Deaver
Asher Deaver was born into a jolly loving clan in 1990.
He spent the first half of his fairy tail childhood in a log cabin in the woods of Washington, angering his older siblings by copying everything they did and simultaneously being better at it.
He drove most of them away.
His parents, in utter desperation to rid themselves for once and for all of this wunderkind who masterfully hatcheted the happy family unit to bits and scattered the pieces across the continental united states, fled from Washington down to the deserts of Arizona in an attempt to get away from him.
Asher was 8 at the time, and unfortunately required parenting and insisted he be taken along.
Asher grew a heart under the glaring desert sun, and to repent for the pain and anguish he caused his parents by being the most talented child of them all, he attempted to console them with blatant but well-crafted melodic knock-offs of popular indie bands.
His parents got over the anguish quite quickly and grew bored with his beautiful music. They banished him to his end of the single wide, where his budding teenage angst was allowed to flourish without bounds.
His songs became better and better,
In July 2006 at the age of 16 Asher recorded his first album – the Jake sessions – which was immediately met with critical acclaim in the indie social circles of his older siblings, angering them once again with the discovery that their friends were now asking to be “set up” with their under-age brother.
Some of them moved even further away from him.
In a desperate attempt to squelch his natural talent for success and reunite the family as a whole, Asher took a college math class that fall.
But it soon became obvious that both brooding indie girls and boys alike found him much more attractive with a guitar in hand, rather than calculator, and beauty being his main concern, Asher made the second career change of his life, and returned to music.
He was still 16.
2007 found Asher spending most of his time in the bedroom he shared with his youngest brother (it’s a single-wide), recording songs on his 8-track late into the night. He began experimenting with a more unique – but still heartbreakingly melodic – sound, introducing more layers and playing with harmonies, while continuing to write the same gravity-defying lyrics that make your arms break out in goose bumps as you listen through your headphones on your daily walk to the train.
His fan base continued to grow and comment his myspace pics.
Asher began playing local shows in late 2007, and by spring 2008 his calendar was becoming more and more booked with shows all over the state.
July 2008 Asher will be taking his show on the road for his first cross-country tour ever. With shows already being booked from Arizona to New York City, Asher Deaver is one attractive man-boy show not to be missed.

It's raining, it's pouring....
Hello!
I must apologize for not blogging as often as I should. I've been very busy lately with wonderful things! I mean, just last weekend, I went to a fondue party, princess party, an art show, and a fairy party. During all that I laughed a lot and ate entirely too many sweets. And this weekend's turning out to look that busy (fun) as well!
I am sitting nice and cozy in the Chatt state library. Just like last semester!
In a second, I'm going to go to my classroom and spend time drawing before class. Isn't that nice?
I hope all is well with you, my wonderful readers. Well, if anyone actually does read these....
Have a nice Tuesday and don't let the "middle of the week blues" get you tomorrow!
Mary Em
p.s. I shall leave you three things from chatt state.
1) I am thinking about getting a perm.(after I grow out my hair a little bit, of course)
2) I'm taking an oil painting class this summer! I am so excited!
3) I have a giant thermos full of Starbucks coffee. Isn't that just wonderful?

More than one blog post a week!?
Crazy huh?
A person in my science class asked me if my dress was maternity.
Negative on that one.
I'm so excited about tonight and tomorrow and the rest of the days!
Just something:
The forest floor is carpeted with dead leaves and stray petals from the trees above.
A cool, green shadow is cast across my face, shading my eyes from the piercing sun.
Little feathered creatures are singing to eachother sweet, simple songs of love.
A swift breeze carries the scent of dogwoods and violets through this haven of mine.
Tiny insects are buzzing around my face, curious to see what I am.
Mischievous squirrels make themselves busy by chasing eachother around the trees.
I smile as all these things commmence, for this is my secret place.
I must go eat and go to the symphony now!

little things
Once upon a time there were two girls named Emily and Katherine. Emily and Katherine loved Vampire Weekend very much. One time they got to go to a Vampire Weekend concert and got backstage passes. They ended up meeting everyone from Vampire Weekend including Ezra and Chris. Ezra and Chris heard them singing and immedia...tely asked them to take the place of their old background singers. Of course Emily and Katherine accepted almost instantly! Then Emily and Chris and Katherine and Ezra lived happily ever after. The End-Katherine Gaither
My life has been really nice lately. I have many deep things on my mind...but I cannot talk them out quite yet.
So enjoy the story and the picture.

Wednesday...how I love you so.
Wednesdays brighten my week.
So yeah, here's an outfit post!
*gasp*
I wore this weeks ago...I just never posted it.
I'm going through a little phase of over-inspiration. I don't know why, but it feels the same as being uninspired. Hmph. Anyway, have a lovely rest of the week! I will try to be more interesting in my next post.

An attempt...
at finishing things I've started.
So guess what?
(no, not chicken butt)
I am almost caught up on my projects. Last week I completed THREE projects! Leaving me only to worry about the pillow that I'm supposed to be making Micah. And that can be an ongoing one since it is so time consuming.
My project for this week: Recon a dress for prom. I have caved into the pressure of my peers. I'm going to prom. Blah. Oh well, I hope it's fun. I have a pretty dress that I'm going to add things too. And hopefully it is smashing.
I need to take picture of my finished projects to post on here...but I'm too lazy.
Mary Em
psst. I'm going to get a Canon Rebel XSi this week. Don't tell anyone though, it's a secret.
